Govindrao popularly known as Tatya
Govindrao was a high school graduate and studied land surveying from his father. With his keen insight of arithmetic and geometry he made a very successful surveyor and diligently served the King of a small princely state named Limdi through out his life. He was very honest but shrewd individual, the two qualities necessary to successfully survive in any small King's administration in his time. He loved good things and liked to enjoy himself within his means. He was also a very devoted religious man and spent long hours in morning and evening prayers.
Govindrao had a large family of two sons and four daughters. Unfortunately, he lost his wife early and lived the life of a widower for many long years. His two sons Dattatreya and Purushottama (also know as Babubhai in the family) settled and lived in Mumbai.
